 Nick Johnson, composer

Nick Johnson is a composer/arranger living in Lexington, KY. Nick's background in composition began in high school writing cadences for drumline and a cappella arrangements for chamber choral ensembles. Nick went on to attend the University of Kentucky, graduating with a degree in Music Education. During his time at UK, he wrote over 75 pop a cappella arrangements for the UK a cappella groups and served as the student director of the acoUstiKats. Eventually, he began writing compositions for the University of Kentucky Men's Chorus and high school choirs around the country. Nick currently works as a Recruiter for the University of Kentucky College of Engineering and enjoys the ability to write meaningful music in his free time. He is excited to join the Canorous writing team and looks forward to making music accessible to all.
